CCL Privacy Policy

Canadian Centre for Learning (CCL) is committed to users’ privacy and has implemented reasonable administrative measures to safeguard your Personal Information. This privacy policy administers the way in which Canadian Centre for Learning collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users of this Web site (each, a “User”). This privacy policy will be updated periodically and we encourage users to revisit frequently to review any updates. When CCL or its instructors use Suppliers to process your Personal Information (for example, if you email an instructor directly), we require the Supplier to apply safeguards too.

What personal information does CCL collect? 

CCL only collects personal information from Users that is needed for CCL functions and tasks, for example an email address to communicate to you.  CCL may also collect information,  about how users use our web site, “ for example, by tracking the number of unique views received by the pages of the web site or the domains from which users originate.”  (Ethical Host – may need to change the wording here)

How does CCL handle personal information?

Personal information is only shared with CCL on a need-to-know basis with people who may require it to perform CCL functions. The amount and type of Personal Information CCL collects is limited to what is necessary to perform CCL functions.

We retain your Personal information only for as long as it is needed to fulfil the purposes it is needed for or as otherwise required to meet legal or business requirements.

You can withdraw your consent for the use of your Personal Information for certain purposes.  If you do withdraw consent to use your Personal Information, then we may not be able to contact you and you may not be able to participate in any of the CCL programs.

How does CCL maintain my personal information?

CCL and its webhost are based in Canada. Personal information is stored on our webshost’s servers which are protected using standard security measures. Our website is secure using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL), and resides on servers that are heavily guarded both physically and electronically.
